A board, stacks of paper, and a few pens.
JotFrog is a handwritten notes app for the Mac, made for pen tablets.
Along the side of the board are stacks of paper and a small tray of pens. Pull a fresh note from a stack, drop it anywhere on the board, and write on it. Each stack is a kind of paper with its own size, color, and ruling. There are no notebooks, pages, or toolbars to get through first.
JotFrog works with Wacom, Huion, and XP-Pen tablets and pen displays, and with other devices that send standard macOS tablet events.
Your notes stay on your Mac
No account and no cloud are needed. JotFrog works offline, keeps your notes on your Mac, and never sends your handwriting anywhere. Anonymous usage data is off unless you turn it on. The privacy policy lists everything the app sends.
Coming soon
JotFrog is in development, and a public beta is planned for early 2027.
